For Sale: A very nice 1974 Corvette Stingray. I am selling this car along with another older Ford for a friend of the family. Her husband passed away recently and she needs to sell both vehicles. The Corvette is very nice and looks and runs great. I had the pleasure of driving this car about 50 miles and it ran wonderfully. It is very peppy and handles great. The car is very clean inside and out and the paint shines very well. It has been repainted but whoever did the work did a very nice job. It looks good and has no cracking or any flaws that I could see. Most of these early Corvettes have a tendency to get fine cracks throughout the paint and even when repainted if not done properly they return quickly. This car has none that I could see. The deceased owner and his wife haven't owned the car for too many years and as I understand it the previous owner was a women from the area. She must of babied the car and garaged kept it for it to be as nice as it is. The engine bay is not show condition, is very clean and complete. As I stated previously it runs great. The interior is also very nice with the only flaws I could see are some small cracks on the drivers door panel and one very small seam in the drivers seat that is opened. The seam is not ripped just the threading that held it together came loose. This would be a very easy fix and does not require replacing any material just to be resewed. The tires are in good shape and have a lot of miles left on them. The left front trim ring does have some scratches on it but the wheels, caps and remaining trim rings are in good shape. This is a very nice Corvette especially when you consider that it is 36 years old. Here in Pa you can license this car as a classic which you do not have to renew each year and it keeps your insurance premium very low. This would be an excellent cars to take on Sunday drives with the T-Tops off, to get ice cream or it is more then presentable to take to local shows and be proud of it. If I had any garage space left I would seriously consider buying it myself. I know that would make my 19 year old son happy.
